Front App is a San Francisco startup that has been around since November of 2013. They offer businesses a unified inbox solution (messages from multiple email accounts, Twitter, Facebook, SMS, chat, etc. all in one place) that, according to the company, allows people to reply more than 2 times faster to incoming messages and tickets. Since launch, they have acquired some big-name customers like Verizon and MailChimp, and have raised just over $13 million across 4 rounds of funding. Their most recent injection came in May of this year; it was by far their biggest, scooping up $10M from several sources (including Stewart Butterfield), and thanks to the company’s generosity in sharing with Business Insider, below you can see the 21-slide pitch deck they used to seal the deal.
One thing you’ll note about this pitch deck (and most others of its ilk) is that little of it would have been possible without taking the years of time and effort to prove that a substantial market already exists for their product–for a while now, Front App has been live, it has been working, it has been generating revenue, and it has been growing. So as you run through this pitch deck taking note of the flow, design and depth of the information, don’t lose sight of the substance that truly makes it all worth millions.
Either way, this is as good a template as any, so breathe it in deep…

Very impressive. How much time is put into making one of these killer pitches? I cannot even fathom the amount of time and what team it would take to ensure the pitch is a success with investors.

Raymond, it’s not as hard as it looks. I explain this in the Pitch Process. If you’re interested, check out: http://pitchprocess.com

Just a note: your link shows up as white on white for me, it took a second to realize you had actually included the URL.

Half the battle is going live AND bringing in revenue. It looks like Front App has a great start on that.

I could not even imagine sitting in one of these high powered meetings. Just the terminology alone would explode my brain!
Jennie Newell says
I am in the same boat as you. Just too much information to be bringing in.
