Wide-eyed newcomers to the exciting world of web development are taught to specialize in one of three facets of the practice:  a design and frontend development language, a backend scripting language and a database technology. Having all three in your arsenal results in elevation to the coveted position of full-stack developer. Whatever your area of specialization is, and especially if you’ve gone full-stack, being able to get a website live and learning to deal with code maintenance is essential.

SitePoint and DreamHost have teamed up to give developers, designers and entrepreneurs the opportunity to make a seamless transition from picking up coding skills to deploying their creations on the Internet. Customers will have access to DreamHost’s hosting packages at the lowest price available and one year of Premium-level access to SitePoint’s dev education library, which itself has a value of $108.

Here’s what SitePoint CEO Simon Julian had to say of the partnership:

“Our new partnership with DreamHost allows us to continue offering our audience of web and IT professionals the best available tools and resources to build innovative and smart digital tools and businesses.”

And from Sitepoint’s Vice President of Sales and Partnerships for the LA offices Natalie Tarpinian:

“DreamHost is on the forefront of open-stack technologies and offers the world’s developers hosting solutions that solve industry-specific needs. By signing up for DreamHost’s hosting solution, a customer has an enormous range of features available to them, and can create beautiful and functional websites for their business.”

DreamHost users who sign up for a hosting package via the SitePoint premium page not only get free access to SitePoint Premium for 1 year but additionally, they may avail various hosting discounts (up to 50%) extended exclusively as part of the promotion. The SitePoint premium library of  videos, eBooks, and online tutorials has been cumulatively valued at over $20,000.

Vice President of Shared Hosting at DreamHost Kathy Brahm expressed excitement over the partnership:

“This is absolutely brilliant.  I’m chuffed to be able to make this announcement.  The SitePoint team has proven themselves to be a fair group of stand-up lads, and we’re certain our users will recognize the incredible value in SitePoint Premium straight away.”

DreamHost is among the most widely used and well-trusted providers of web hosting services globally. It provides shared, VPS, and dedicated hosting solutions to customers. Managed WordPress hosting packages are also available.

Founded by Mark Harbottle and Matt Mickiewicz, SitePoint is among the top 700 Internet properties in the world. The website delivers educational content on various aspects of web programming and mobile development. In addition to that, the site provides guidance to developers with entrepreneurial aspirations on how to build a business online. Languages covered as part of SitePoint’s tutorials includes HTML and CSS, Javacript, Ruby, and PHP. There are also sections covering mobile programming and design and user experience principles.

    DreamHost is offering:

    • Over 50% off the 1st year of Shared Hosting.
    • 40% off the 1st year of DreamPress 2 (managed WordPress)
    • 50% off the first 3 months of VPS Hosting.

The discounted combination of the two products is sure to be appealing to almost anybody looking to launch.
