ALL great ideas to prevent a drop in your ad revenue due to the banner blindness. Banner blindness has been going on for many years, but there is always a way or two to get the ball rolling with a new affiliate marketing idea and solution.
I’m seeing a lot of blogs and sites have those ads at the bottom or the side that are all the same insane stuff. Stuff like breakthrough steroids that are putting gyms out of business or something like that. I want to know who clicks on that stuff and then orders whatever product it is. I say this because I can’t believe that people like this exist, yet these ad networks exist so someone is making serious coin off this stuff. Personally I just use adblock and it really works well. For whatever ads get through the filter, my brain is just trained to go over it.
Adsense is pretty much the bottom tier network for ads I think, but that viral nova guy sure had luck with it. His early site was basically a wordpress theme with adsense ads put where the menu was and he was making like 100,000 a month off of it. The power of clickbait ladies and gentlmen.
To be honest, I rarely notice the ads displayed on websites, but the fact is that many websites place them in areas that are not very noticeable. What is even worse, some of them are using them for click baiting. I am always making experiments with my Google Adsense ads.
