Performing real-time language translation, Waverly Labs calls their innovative Pilot earbuds “The World’s First Smart Earpiece.” They work by “hearing” what one wearer says, translating it via their connected app, and then broadcasting the translated text to the listener. Some kinks remain, but their funding on Indiegogo indicates there is a lot of interest in tech for real-time translation.

A new kind of fitness tracking device, Cor makes regular, at-home blood testing possible. Users press a cartridge to their skin for a blood test and drop it into the device. Results are processed in five minutes and sent to the smartphone app. The company founder has impressive credentials and funding on Indiegogo is exceeding the goal, but the results of clinical trials remain unpublished.

This electric bike with integrated solar panels comes from Leaos Solar, winner of a 2015 Red Dot Product Design Award. With a top speed of either 25 km/hr or 45 km/hr (depending on the model), automatic and manual transmission, and high performance design, this eBike is generating some buzz. The question is whether it will pay off with funding.
