In the latest of questionable Internet of Things devices, Kuvee has created a Wi-Fi-enabled wine bottle with a touch-screen and built in wine preserver to keep their payload fresh well beyond its normal life expectancy. It seems Indiegogo’s users think the idea is one worth backing.
Ogo, now on Indiegogo, is a self-balancing wheelchair that lets users control its movements without having to use their hands. It’s not the only medical device hoping to improve accessibility and transportation for the disabled.
A new kind of fitness tracking device, Cor makes regular, at-home blood testing possible. Users press a cartridge to their skin for a blood test and drop it into the device. Results are processed in five minutes and sent to the smartphone app. The company founder has impressive credentials and funding on Indiegogo is exceeding the goal, but the results of clinical trials remain unpublished.
This electric bike with integrated solar panels comes from Leaos Solar, winner of a 2015 Red Dot Product Design Award. With a top speed of either 25 km/hr or 45 km/hr (depending on the model), automatic and manual transmission, and high performance design, this eBike is generating some buzz.
